Permal Capital Management (PCM) is a private equity investment management firm that provides differentiated investment products to investors worldwide. Since its inception in the early 1990s, PCM has focused on two core strategies: primary funds of funds that invest in the dynamic venture capital and buyout industries and secondary market funds that purchase private equity interests from investors seeking liquidity. PCM is an active buyer of private equity positions in the secondary market and will consider many types of interests and transactions including single interest positions, portfolios of interests, secondary directs and structured transactions

PCM has invested in primary partnerships since the early 1990s, seeking high quality managers pursuing compelling strategies with a general preference for firms managing smaller funds. PCM emphasizes proven managers but also seeks promising emerging teams.
